Pdingpdoong

Pdingpdoong was made during our claymation workship in NID last year. It took us 3- 4 months time for the making of this film. And was made by group of four which included me, manasi parikh, nupur mukherjee and chewang lepcha.

it won at Chitrakatha 09 for the best film in the national category

it got the jury mention at Asifa 09

and it took us to Monstra 09 in Lisbon this year.

'COW' boy (i know, the title sucks)

Chitrakatha, a 3 year old festival happens every 2 years in NID. The last one happened last October. The mascot is a cow and COW stands for Cinema Of Wonders.

This is a small promo I had made for the festival. Couldn't invest must time after it, but I did enjoy animating the naked baby.

The other day, after a long time, after almost a year, i signed in to my blog. Thought i ll pay her a visit. I said " hey blog! how you doing?". And i saw she was miserable, she was in tears ..... n before a mushy korean movie song could play in the background, i signed out. Yeah thats it.

there was a time when people believed that the earth was flat. however they were proved wrong. the earth is a sphere and it consists of 3 layers. the inner most layer is apparently very hard. ha ha ha. people believe any crap if it is "scientifically" proved. i say the earth is hollow inside and there is a giant blue rat inside running, causing the earth to rotate. laughing at me? ha ha. even they did that when they were told, the earth isnt flat .

When Centaur met his brother

One of my batchmates happened to model a sumo in maya during our 3d class. i was kicked by the idea. so i just tried these out to see what i'd be making if i were to make a sumo.

i had submitted this illustration for a publication that nid is doing regarding women and children. i still am not sure what exactly it is. but this one was made on the topic prostitution. it got selected initially, but.......erm.... later on got rejected.

Making atleast one animation every semester makes me feel good. last semester i made this promo for visual communication, promoting our colour Maroon, out of paper cut outs. the opposing teams were black, pink and purple.
